What is a Liquidation?
Liquidation is the process in which assets of a company are sold for the purpose of collateral recovery within a time sensitive deadline. The Arwood Appraisal, LLC team are collateral recovery specialists. Orderly Liquidation Value is one of the most commonly requested appraisals because our clients need to know what maximum collateral recovery would be in a specified period of time.
Typically, an Orderly Liquidation takes approximately 30 to 120 days. Items are sold onsite or transported to another location, organized into lots, and advertised accordingly. The principal difference between an Auction and a Liquidation sale is that an Auction brings a buyer to an ultimate moment of decision, resulting in all assets being sold on that specific time and day.

Certified Industrial Appraisals
In the appraisal profession, anyone can give a random opinion as to what something might be worth; however, only a true professional can establish a value which is USPAP certified. USPAP stands for Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. In order to be USPAP certified, one must take a stringent educational course and then pass a written test as set forth by the guidelines of the Appraisers Qualification Board. There IS a difference!
